Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today presided over the second Organising Committee Meeting for the much-anticipated Shirui Lily Festival 2025. The high-level review session took place at the Raj Bhavan’s conference hall in Imphal, bringing together senior officials and key stakeholders to streamline preparations for the state’s flagship cultural event.
The meeting delved deep into critical facets of the festival’s execution — from budgetary planning and scheduling to crowd control, security, transport logistics, and infrastructure upgrades. Discussions also included arrangements for accommodation, curation of cultural showcases, publicity strategies, and coordination across government departments to ensure a smooth and vibrant celebration.
In attendance were Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, senior Commissioners and Secretaries, the Governor’s Secretary, Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police from Ukhrul and Kamjong, along with members of the festival’s organising committee. Their collective focus was to fine-tune every detail for a grand and seamless festival experience that celebrates the iconic Shirui Lily and the spirit of Manipur.
