Home Minister Gaikhangam strikes tough words against the closure of some mission school in the state due to interference by various organizations of the state. Talking to reporters at the sideline of the inaugural function of the 5 police station at various places of Thoubal district, Gaikhangam said that the closure of the mission school is not acceptable by any persons in the state and appealed the concerns organization not to interfere to the school affairs to ensure conducive academic atmosphere.
“The ban to some mission schools of the state is not acceptable by the general public. I appealed all those concern organization to let the academic atmosphere at this schools free from fear’, Gaikhangam said.
Surprisingly the tough words appears just as an appeal as no concrete measures was seen taken up by the law enforcers to ensure the conducive academic atmosphere in these schools.
It may be recalled that the closure of these schools happen all of a sudden yesterday without informing any reason to the students or the guardians. However, source with the Imphal Times said the closure of these schools was due to threats from an underground organization. Even as the school source did not reveal the name of the group, it was an open secret that a KCP group had warned these schools of serious consequences through daily newspaper publish in the state.
“It was after the school authority found the news report that the decision to close down the school was taken”, said another source.
