Free Eye Camp held at Community Hall, Takyel Kolom Leikai

Shija Eye Care Foundation in association with Young Progressive Club, Takyel organized a comprehensive eye camp at Takyel Kolom Leikai Community Hall, on Oct. 1. According to a press statement , 121 nos. of patients were examined for eye related problems during the eye camp. Among this 20 are diagnosed cataracts, 7 pterygium, 2 chalazion and 1 entropion.
Three patients were transported to Shija Eye Care Foundation, Langol for the corrective surgery on the same day and the remaining detected patients are treated at Shija Eye Care Foundation, Langol today.
Dr. Sarda Ch., Consultant Ophthalmologist along with other supporting staff of Shija Eye Care Foundation examined the patients.
Shija Eye Care Foundation has been organizing regular camp at various locations of Manipur. Recently, Shija Eye Care Foundation mentored by Aravind Eye Care System, Madurai introduced the Subsidized Section of OPD and surgery where the patients are examined at Rs. 20/- at OPD and SICS cataract surgery at Rs. 1000/- (inclusive of 2 days stay). The section has been opened to ensure maximum nos. of patient avail of the services, the press statement added.
