Lamka, Oct 02: The Joint meeting between the Joint Action Committee and leaders of the various village committees, authorities and women groups resolved that agitation schedule will be effective from Monday,
October 5th till further notice. JAC stated that there will be relaxation from 5am – 2pm ; Total bandh from 2pm onwards. However, the following departments or establishments will be exempted from the bandh like Medical, Electricity, Telecom, Water supply (Excluding private service providers), Media, Bank and Treasury. Educational institutions are allowed to open till 12 noon. Dharnas to be held from 2pm – 5pm in Kangvai, Monglenphai, Light House, Sielmat, Lamka Police Station, District hospital, and Rayburn College (New Lamka). From 5pm onwards, the concern village committees, authorities may make necessary arrangements to suit local needs and situations.
