Fitting tribute paid to Robinhood on 2nd Death Anniversary

Imphal, July 8: Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) observes the second death anniversary of Sapam Robinhood at Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School today. Family members and hundreds of students paid floral tribute to the portrait of Sapam Robinhood. Speaking on the occasion, Arjun Telheiba, Convenor of JCILPS said that the sacrifice of Robinhood for the safeguard of indigenous people of Manipur for both hill and valley should not be taken lightly. The number of non indigenous people is now more than the number of indigenous people of Manipur of both hill and valley combine. There is a fear for non Manipuri of taking control of the state in the near future and if not checked in time, people of both hill and valley will not have a single place to stay in their own land, he added. Arjun Telheiba appeals the indigenous people of the state to stand united as one and take full responsibility. Students of Apunba Manipur Huiyen Langlon Lup gave martyr salute to the portrait of Sapam Robinhood. Blood donation camp was also organised by Apunba Manipur Mega Lup in collaboration with JNIMS blood bank. Sapam Robinhood, s/o Sapam Romesh and Rk Babita of Khurai Lairik Yengbam Makha Leikai lost his life on July 8, 2015 when police personnel open fire to control the ILP movement. He was a student of Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School studied in Class 11. Mention may be that the second death anniversary of Sapam Robinhood was suppose to be held at Lamjing Meira Ching also known as Awa Ching was cancelled sue to the current flash flood
