Following the National Executive Committee meeting of the All India State Government Employees Federation held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, a significant district committee meeting of the Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) took place on sunday at 10:00 AM. The meeting was hosted at Jiribam Higher Secondary School and convened under the leadership of Ch. Direndra Singh, Advisor of the MGSF Jiribam branch.
Key attendees included Purujit Leirikyengbam, Senior Vice-President (Administration) of the Manipur Government Services Federation; Ch. Indi Kumar, President of MGSF Jiribam; and L. Phantomas, General Secretary of MGSF Jiribam, along with numerous employees and pensioners.
During the meeting, a detailed report was presented, highlighting the federation’s preparations for the upcoming national strike scheduled for May 20, 2025. This strike aims to voice support for twelve critical demands, including:- Scrapping the New Pension System (NPS) and restoring the Old Pension System (OPS), Implementing the 8th Pay Commission, Payment of due Dearness Allowance (D.A), Regularizing contract employees., Filling all existing vacancies.
