“ Digital Yehoulmi” sets to make Manipur 100% computer literate state

With a mission to make the state a 100% computer literate state, a private company called Yelhoumi Enterprises Private Limited, Khonghampat  today distributed Laptop to students at Thoubal Athokpam and various places of Yairipok area under its mission “ Digital Yehoulmi”. Yelhoumi literarily means indigenous people of the state and the private body has been working with extreme seriousness to make Manipur a 1005 computer literate state.

The private company has been providing laptop to students at subsidies and installment basis so that poor students who can’t afford laptop could have one. So far 200 laptop of the I-ball company has been distributed at various villages at free of cost to students at various villages of the state under its mission “ Digital Yehoulmi”. Managing Director Ningthoujam Surjit and Director Ningthoujam Kumarjit of the  Yelhoumi Enterprises Private Limited today assured to make the state 100% computer literate state if people of the state support the programme being taken up by the company.

Under the Integrated Scheme for Computer Education and Information technology Phase 2, the Rajasthan Government have distributed computers to around 2000 government run schools and the said programme had provoked the citizen of Rajasthan to learnt computer.

“ Digital Yelhoumi” a similar type but initiated by the private body is trying all its effort to make the state a 100% computer literate state.

It may be mentioned that, before the launching of the digital Yelhoumi  programme Managing Director of the Yelhoumi Enterprises Private Limited Ningthoujam Sujit had converted Atom Village of Imphal West and Nungthang Tampak of Churachandpur district as the first 100% solar powered villages in the state when he was the proprietor cum director  of the Firm “ Mangal Rural”. The firm had also gifted a Computer monitor cum TV to this newspaper encouraging the spirit of our news report.
