Imphal, Dec 23: The National Council meeting of the Communist Party of India held from December 21-23, 2016 at the city of Hyderabad, Telangana State had in depth analysed the present situation of Manipur and expressed its great concern on the sufferings of the people of the state. If the ongoing economic blockades conducted in the valley areas of Manipur are allowed to continue then it would be extremely dangerous for not only Manipur or Nagaland but also for the whole nation. The economic blockade called by the UNC is now more than fifty days which started from 1st November. A resolution of the meeting states that both the state government of Manipur and the NDA government at the centre are responsible for such a disastrous situation and the National Council of CPI earnestly urged upon the union government and the state government to cohesively work and stop all these inhuman activities immediately. The National Council further appeals to all stakeholders to refrain from violence and hatred.
