CM inspects repairing work at Ima Keithel; extends warm greetings on the occasion of Mother’s Day

Recognizing the patience, strength and unconditional love and support of a mother, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh shared his warm greetings to all the mothers of the State for their indomitable spirit on Mother’s Day. He informed that we should seek blessings and pay rich tribute to all our mothers on such special day. He shared his greetings during his visit to inspect the ongoing repairing work at Ima Keithel, Imphal today.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA of Yaiskul AC Th. Satyabrata, Principal Secretary (MAHUD) Rakesh Ranjan, Municipal Commissioner and officials of Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC).

Talking to the media persons about the traffic congestion in the Thangal Keithel, Paona Keithel, Khwairamband area and Keishampat to Khuyathong stretch, Chief Minister urged the residents, shop owners, shopkeepers of this area to refrain from parking their vehicles on the roadside. He maintained that they should be dropped and picked up by drivers or family members to their respective shops and no permanent parking will not be allowed in this area. For those residents of the Thangal and Paona Keithel who do not have parking space, the IMC will make arrangements to park their vehicles on the parking lots constructed over the Naga Nullah. He informed that the encroachers and illegal shops constructed over the Naga Nullah have been evicted by IMC and police lately.

Taking the advantage of the current nationwide lockdown the repairing work is being taken up at the historic Ima Keithel by the IMC since April 22nd, 2020.
