As announced by the State government, classes of schools in Imphal area which had been closed since July 9 , have resume today. The schools in Imphal East and Imphal West area has been shut down following the mass protest by students demanding implementation of ILPS which cause the death of a student identified as Sapam Robinhood on July 8 at Imphal East in police action.
State security force were deployed at almost all the schools in Imphal area to prevent the students from organising any form of protest.
However, at around noon most of the school authority of private school sent back the students to their homes as there is apprehension of students organisations gearing up for another mass protest.
