Two days youth awareness campaign on drug menace and deterioration of environment was organised today jointly by Johnstone Higher Secondary NSS Units and Youth Affairs and Sports department at its school campus.
Attending the function as Chief Guest, RK Imo, MLA, Sagolband constituency, said that the students of the state should be given awareness about the impact of development to the environment which creates hazardous pollution. Like in other states, the pollution control board should monitor and provide pollution certificates to all the commercial vehicles and install a pollution control check in every petrol pump stations of the state, added Imo. He further added that if people of the state are aware of the kinds that pollute the environment, then it can help in controlling global warming. Imo further assured to assist all possible support in the construction of the basketball court of the school. He said that he will provide financial assistant for the earth leveling work of the basket ball court.
