Maoist Communist Party today said that the outfit is shocked when I. Hemochandra, PHED Minister of the state, said that there are 1926 water supply schemes in the state.
A press statement released today by Comrade Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of Maoist Communist Party, Manipur said that the total number of villages in Manipur is 2315. Out of these only 2000 villages are inhibited villages. However, it is surprised to hear from I. Hemochandra, PHED Minister that there are 1328 centrally sponsored water supply schemes and 598 water supply schemes under the state government. The figure means that each and every villages of the state has a water supply scheme. In the next year the number of water supply scheme will exceed the number of villages of the state. However, many villages of the state are facing water scarcity.
The statement also said that Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister, Govindas Konthoujam’s statement of vaccinating anti rabies to 1,15,580 cats and dogs free of cost, is also 100% wrong. There is no report of organizing free anti rabies vaccination program in any village of the state. However, there is report of organizing anti rabies vaccination program in villages with a payment of Rs. 100 or 200 for every household.
It alleges that the Assembly of Manipur is a place for confession of all the misdeeds committed by the Ministers and MLAs of the state.
