Chief of the Arambai Tengol, Korounganba Khuman, has urged all Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Manipur to stand united. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the ten martyrs at Yumnam Patlou Chingjen, Korounganba Khuman reaffirmed Arambai Tengol’s commitment to marching forward with courage in bringing together the CSOs.
He further stated that “At this critical juncture, the land is in turmoil due to the failure to protect our own homes from external threats. The time has come to stand strong and resist the forces attempting to destroy our homeland. If PR is not strengthened in Manipur, the state will continue to face relentless threats. The forces that seek to destabilize our land are adopting various strategies to weaken us, but the call for unity is now stronger than ever.”
Emphasizing the need for a collective effort, he urged all CSOs and organizations in Manipur to come together and initiate discussions for a unified stand in safeguarding the land. He asserted that Arambai Tengol, with a singular vision and unwavering dedication, will take decisive steps towards this goal.
The event was attended by ICHAM founder president Nongthombam Rajendro (Boy), Arambai Tengol’s Luching Purel (chief strategist) Korounganba Khuman, Khwairambam Ima Keithel Joint Coordinating Committee for Peace convenor Laishram Mema Devi, Peace Committee Kangleipak president Khumukcham Rajesh Meetei, and Arambai Tengol’s Army-in-Chief General Asem Kanan. Additionally, Arambai Tengol Mobile Team in-charge Samananda was also present at the occasion.
During the event, the names of the ten brave martyrs were solemnly honoured, and their sacrifices were remembered with great reverence. The gathering concluded with a pledge of unity and determination to uphold the spirit of resilience in Manipur.
