AR seized Over 4 Kg Gold at Khudengthabi

Imphal, Aug 8: Troops of 12 Assam Rifles today seized over 4 kg of gold biscuit worth around rupees 1 crore from a four wheeler Maruti Van  while trying to smuggled towards Imphal.
According to report, after getting specific information about some persons smuggling gold from Moreh side towards Imphal, The 12 AR trooper remain alert and while checking a White Colour Maruti van bearing registration No, MNO1G9270 found the gold biscuits hidden inside the driver’s seat compartment. The driver has been identified as Raju Muniyandi (45), son of R. Muniyandi of Moreh Ward No, 5 .
The Gold biscuits seized was 25 in numbers and weigh around 4.157 Kg. The seized items were handed over to the Superintendent of Customs Moreh, Tengnoupal District.
