Imphal, March 19: Rural Health Organisation (RHO), Naoremthong Laishram Leirak Uripok, Imphal West, Manipur has been chosen for 21st All India Mahaveer Awards under ‘ Community & Social Service’ category.
RHO’s welfare services, especially in the remote hilly areas of Manipur, have largely benefitted the tribal poor, SC & ST populations. Through awareness programme focussing on substance abuse and HIV/AIDS, it has counselled 3800 addicts, treated over 2300 addicts and created awareness among 10200 highly vulnerable groups.
