Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Singpanglup (AIMS) has strongly condemned the alleged NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak and the subsequent cancellation of the examination, terming the incident a grave assault on the future of lakhs of medical aspirants across the country.
In a statement issued by AIMS Secretary General Oinam Amarjit, the organisation described the development as a shocking failure of the system entrusted with safeguarding one of India’s most crucial national examinations. The organisation stated that the alleged leak has shattered the confidence of students and parents, many of whom invested years of relentless preparation, financial resources, and emotional sacrifice in pursuit of a medical career.
AIMS observed that NEET-UG, which witnesses participation from over 20 lakh candidates annually, is not merely an entrance test but a defining gateway for deserving students aspiring to serve society through the medical profession. It warned that the dishonest actions of a handful of individuals have now placed the future of sincere aspirants under a cloud of uncertainty, mental trauma, and insecurity.
The organisation accused authorities of failing to ensure the sanctity and credibility of the examination process and demanded complete transparency from the National Testing Agency and the Ministry of Education regarding the circumstances that led to the alleged breach.
Calling for urgent corrective measures, AIMS demanded a thorough and impartial investigation to identify all those involved in the alleged leak and initiate stringent legal action against them. It stated that unless exemplary punishment is awarded to the culprits, public trust in the country’s examination system would continue to erode.
AIMS further asserted that merit, honesty, and hard work must be protected at all costs, and urged authorities to act decisively to restore the confidence of students and parents nationwide.
