Ibobi lauds state players for bringing medals of the Country
25th Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) National Football and 17th NVS National Archery Meet 2014 were inaugurated today at the Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex being organised by Regional Office, Shillong, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Khumbong.Attending the function as Chief Guest, Chief Minister, O. Ibobi said the standard and healthiness of a state could be measured through sports and games. Though Manipur is a small state many players from the state had brought laurels in both National and International level. Giving example CM said many players had won medals in the recently concluded Incheon Asian Games. Players from the state had brought three gold and four bronze medals, added Ibobi. He further said that the intention of the government is to provide quality education in rural areas and all round faster development. Ibobi said JNV provides the students with self development skills in various fields and enables them to recover their own skills. He further appealed to all the students who are going to participate in the event to have a strong determination in whatever they do and bring development for the country.Dr. N.S. Radhakumar Singh, IAS, Secretary Revenue, Government of Manipur, Chairman Vidyalaya Managment Committee attended the inaugural function as President and Guests of Honour respectively.
