A fourteen years old minor girl was allegedly rape by four youths at Achanbigei area of Imphal West on the evening of February 16. Police had arrest four alleged rapist as identified by the victim girl and an Alto car used by the rapist was also seized by the police.
According to report, the victim minor girl came into touch with one among the four accused identified as Th. Bikramsana (aged 21), son of Th. Ibomcha of Luwangsangbam Makha Leikai through social networking site Facebook. The victim minor girl met the estrange friend for the first time on February 16. He along with three other friends reportedly came in an Alto car and at Langol game village, where the girl lives. They took her out for a date and together they went for a ride till Kanglatombi.
According to police source the girl alleged that on the way back from Kanglatombi it was already dark and they parked the car near a field at Achanbigei area. There the four of them allegedly rape her and later drop her near her home at Langol game village.
The parents of the victim girl lodge a complaint with the Lamphel police on February 17 and following the report police have arrested the four accused at which one among them is a minor boy. Among the three, two accused arrested along with Bikramsana are Nongthombam Roshan (aged 25) son of Robindro of Achanbigei Makha Leikai. The case is under investigation by a team of lady police, Imphal West and all the arrested alleged rapist are in their custody. The source said that medical examination conducted to the victim girl and the alleged has confirmed sexual intercourse between them.
