Imphal, March 13:
A 10 kWp rooftop interactive on-grid solar PV plant was installed today at Lainingthou Sanamahi Sanglen, marking a significant step towards renewable energy adoption in the region. The installation was part of an event organized by the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB), where the Joint Declaration of Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba was also unveiled.
The newly commissioned solar plant operates under specific conditions set by the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL). It ensures that the energy injected into the grid does not exceed 40 percent of the rated capacity of the distribution transformer. Additionally, a new metering system has been installed at the tapping point, procured by the consumer in accordance with MSPDCL’s technical specifications. At the time of commissioning, the grid injection process was executed with MSPDCL officials after the necessary submission of a No Dues Certificate.
The inauguration event was attended by key dignitaries, including Chief Guest Kamson Gangmumei Kabui, President of the Kabui Customary Council, along with Hijam Shantikumar, Managing Director of MSPDCL, and Dr. Malangmei Hera Kabui, President of the Kabui Union Manipur. Senior board members of LSTB and other distinguished guests also participated in the program.
