The world of the moon and stars has fascinated everyone since childhood, whether it was a common man or Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group, or Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.  Just two days ago, on July 11, Richard Branson went to the edge of space in a Virgin Galactic Unity rocket, while Jeff Bezos will go into space on July 20.  In Unity 22, Indian-origin Shirisha Bandla (born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh) also went to space as a child.
Long before these private missions, Russia, USA and other countries have been sending continuous missions into space for the last few decades.  They have even been deployed in space as far as the International Space Station (ISS), where astronomers are constantly exploring the secrets of space.  These campaigns have helped to increase interest in space and astronomy among children and youth.  That is why so many children and teenagers have been interested in astronomy since their school days.  Some of them have even discovered new stars, named after them
A scientist from Aryabhata Observational Science Research Institute (AERIS) in Nainital, Dr.  Shashi Bhushan Pandey said that there are many secrets in the world of space, which man is curious to know.  That is why space science has always been a very interesting subject.  Ever since the beginning of human civilization, there has been evidence of curiosity and imagination towards space and astronomical villages.  Our ancient scientists and mathematicians used bamboo tubes along with blank eyes to calculate time.  There are many such examples of our ancestors’ knowledge of this subject and its use even today.  In fact, astronomy had its own significance in the beginning of calculus and directional knowledge.  Since the discovery of the first telescope by Galileo Galilei nearly four centuries ago, studies by many scientists and mathematicians have greatly increased people’s reasoning and knowledge of the universe.  Especially during the last one century or so, the field has developed greatly due to various astronomical observations and computer simulation theories about the origin of the universe.
Advanced Discovery Brings Brightness: If observed, modern astronomy has given a new direction to various aspects of physics and astronomy.  Under this, the scope of this subject has become much wider due to new discoveries.  After all, the universe is a vast expanse.  To understand its origin, the formation of liquid from energy, the origin of various elements, and the life span of the stars, life on another planet comes under it, without which the universe cannot be understood.  To understand these topics, advanced technologies are now being used by telescopes to observe electromagnetic waves in different wave directions.  Many experiments are being performed on gamma, x, ultraviolet, visible light, infrared, and radio wavelengths.  By studying these experiments, light brain factors that are excreted by the body, absorption, polarization, dispersing, etc.
More recently, Albert Einstein’s discovery of the theoretical representation of gravitational waves by observations nearly a century ago has proved to be a milestone in the field of astronomy.  This research will help to understand not only the non-electromagnetic universe, but also other aspects such as dark matter / dark energy.
Rapidly growing popularity: Apart from its ancient heritage, India still holds an important place in the field of astronomy.  Research on various aspects of astronomy in the field of higher education is receiving international acclaim.  This achievement of India makes it one of the leading countries in the world.  After all, in the last five to seven decades, there has been a rapid growth in the direction of higher education and research in astronomy in the country.  During this time various universities and research institutes were established.  The study of astronomy at the undergraduate, postgraduate level is the latest example of the popularity of this field in the country.
How to make a career: To make a career in astronomy, it is necessary to have a background in science.  For this, first you have to pass Intermediate with Mathematics / Physics / Computer subjects.  After graduating in science or technology and gaining proficiency in physics, mathematics or computer subjects, one can take a step towards astronomy at the master’s level.
Students who are keen to pursue a career in astronomy after pursuing a Master of Science or Technical Bachelor / Master will also have to clear the aptitude test conducted by various institutes.  After that, you can build your career in various research topics in this field.
Where to find opportunities: At present, there are many research institutes working in astronomy / astronomy in the country.  You can find information on a variety of research applications and opportunities by visiting their official website.  Apart from these, various universities and research institutes, IITs, ISERs, NITs also provide various information about their employment projects in the field of astronomy through employment news and other media.
