Deputy Chief Minister, Gaikhangam, who is also the Home Minister, has refuted the Nagaland Chief Minister’s remark on the recent Indo-NSCN (IM) peace accord signed between Central Government and NSCN (IM).
Nagaland CM earlier said that T R Zeliang said that Prime Minister had consulted the Chief Ministers of Northeastern states in the signing of the Naga accord.
Refuting the claim Gaikhangam said that the remark is nothing but to gain blessing from the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister had already stated that the Accord was a framework agreement and will be finalized in consultation with Chief Ministers of Northeastern states soon.
The Deputy Chief Minister, further said that the statement of the Prime Minister should be respected and there is no need to be apprehensive as the Naga accord will not bring any change to the territorial boundaries of neighbouring states of Nagaland.
He however said that people of the state need to stay vigilant until the details of the Naga accord is made public.

You talked about the territorial boundaries of the NE States neighbouring Nagaland only but you do not talk about the administrative changes that is likely to take place within the territorial boundaries of the States consequent upon signing of the Naga accord. We want to know about the probability of this aspect also.
