CBSE declares Class 10 and 12 results 2025; Over 93% pass in Class 10, New Grading system introduced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the results for Class 10 and Class 12 for the academic year 2024–25 today. Students can now access their scorecards online through the board’s official websites: cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in.
According to an official release, Class 12 recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.39%, marking a slight increase from last year. In Class 10, the pass percentage stood at 93.66%, maintaining the board’s consistently high performance rate. The board did not release merit lists to discourage unhealthy competition among students.
To view their results, students must enter essential login credentials including roll number, school code, date of birth, and admit card ID. The digital mark sheets and passing certificates will also be available through DigiLocker.
For the first time, CBSE has implemented a Relative Grading System for both secondary and senior secondary examinations. Introduced in the 2024–25 session, this new system is aimed at reducing academic pressure and curbing the race for perfect scores, fostering a healthier academic environment.
Educationists and parents have welcomed the move, noting that relative grading will allow for a more balanced assessment and may ease mental stress among students. Meanwhile, schools have been advised to provide counselling and support to help students and parents understand the new grading structure.
