This event marked a significant moment as various LGBTQIA+ groups and individuals from different districts, including the All Manipur Transmen Association Manipur (ATMA), joined forces in a spirited display of camaraderie and athleticism.
A spokesperson for the organizers highlighted the profound role of sports in societal integration, emphasizing how LGBTQIA+ communities across Manipur have been actively engaging in sports activities, each narrative narrating vital stories within the community. Echoing this sentiment, another representative underscored the event’s core mission of promoting solidarity and countering discriminatory gender perceptions.
They expressed a vision of unity and affection within the LGBTQIA+ community, fostering stronger bonds and promoting overall well-being.
