National Women’s Indoor Hockey Championship 2025 kicks off with Pool Matches across four groups

The 8th Senior Indoor Six-A-Side Women’s Hockey National Championship 2025 commenced today with high energy and strong competition as teams across four pools began their quest for national glory. The championship features top women’s teams from across the country, divided into four pools—A, B, C, and D—with matches underway since early morning.
Pool A Action:
In Pool A, teams from Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, NCR, and Mumbai clashed in closely fought encounters. Himachal Pradesh opened the tournament against NCR at 8:00 am, followed by a face-off between Mumbai and Vidarbha. The group stage features a series of six matches concluding by evening.
Pool B Intensity:
Pool B emerged as one of the most competitive groups with Maharashtra-A, West Bengal, M.P., Telangana, and Dive & Daman vying for the semi-final spot. The first match saw Maharashtra-A facing Dive & Daman at 9:00 am, followed by West Bengal taking on M.P. A total of ten matches will be played in this pool, running into June 23.
Pool C Highlights:
Pool C features teams from Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli (D.N.H.), Manipur, Kerala, and Maharashtra-B. Manipur began its campaign against D.N.H. at 10:00 am, while Kerala took on Maharashtra-B in the following match. Each team will play three matches to determine the group winner.
Pool D Showdowns:
Kolkata, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Maha Kaushal compete in Pool D. Matches between Kolkata and Uttarakhand, and Haryana versus Maha Kaushal, were played in the late morning session. This pool will also see its final group matches completed by June 23.
Road to the Finals:
According to the schedule, only the top team from each pool will advance to the semi-finals. The first semi-final, featuring Pool A and Pool C winners, will take place at 2:00 pm on June 23. The second semi-final between the winners of Pool B and Pool D will follow at 2:30 pm.
The losing teams from the semi-finals will compete for the third-place title at 2:30 pm on June 24, while the grand finale is scheduled for 3:30 pm the same day.
