Khelo India Cricket Tournament kicks off at Jiribam

A cricket tournament organized by Dett-156 Battalion CRPF, under the aegis of the Sports Authority of India, as part of the Khelo India initiative, commenced today at the Bidyanagar Sports Complex in Jiribam District, Manipur. The event was inaugurated by Prakhar Pandey, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Jiribam.
A total of 12 teams are participating in the tournament, which will conclude on November 5, 2025.
The opening match featured an exciting contest between the Sonapur Cricket Team, Jiribam, and the Jakuradhor Cricket Team, Borobekra. The Sonapur team emerged victorious by 57 runs, scoring 152 runs in 20 overs with 9 wickets down, while the Jakuradhor team managed 96 runs in 17 overs, losing all their wickets.
