15 members elected uncontested to MWA Managing Committee

The Manipur Wrestling Association (MWA) 2025 election concluded today with all 15 candidates elected uncontested to the Managing Committee. The results were announced at Olympic Bhavan, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal.
The newly elected members are Wangkheirakpam Rojit Meitei, L. Brojendro Singh, N. Sanayaima Singh, A. Ravishankar Singh, Chingshubam Anita Devi, Mangsidam Dimartan Singh, Lishangthem Shashikanta Singh, Moirangthem Tombi Singh, Thounaojam Samson Meetei, N. Joykumar Singh, M. Gobin Singh, November Manjuri Devi, W. Dinesh Singh, Ningthoukhongjam Phoni Meetei, and Meisanam Dony Luwang.
The election process was overseen by Thiyam Rajkishore Singh, Advocate and Returning Officer of MWA-2025. Observers present included representatives from the Wrestling Federation of India, Manipur Olympic Association, and the Registrar of Societies, Government of Manipur. Manipur Wrestling Association President S. Saratkumar Sharma also attended the proceedings.
Officials said the smooth conduct of the election reflected the collective commitment to strengthening wrestling in the state. With the new Managing Committee in place, the Association is expected to focus on promoting the sport, nurturing young talent, and ensuring wider participation at both state and national levels.
