Workshop on “A Scientific and Social Outlook on Yumsharol” to be organized

The Institution of Engineers (India), Manipur Chapter, in collaboration with the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB), is hosting a one-day workshop titled “A Scientific and Social Outlook on Yumsharol.” The workshop aims to preserve the indigenous method of constructing Meitei Houses amidst evolving social dynamics.
Speaking to media representatives at the LSTB office situated in Haying Khongbal, Sivadutta Luwang, the member secretary of LSTB, highlighted that the concept of arranging a workshop on this subject emerged during a 15-day workshop conducted by Manipur University of Culture. He emphasized that amidst the current societal shift, where the people of Manipur are increasingly seeking their roots, the workshop will hold significant relevance.
The workshop is scheduled to take place on May 25th at Haying Khongbal, commencing at 8:30 am.
