A three-day international seminar-cum-workshop on “Interdisciplinary Pedagogy and Action Research: Language, Literature, Culture and Society” concluded at GP Women’s College, DMU, today.
The programme was organised by the Department of English, GP Women’s College, in collaboration with the English Alumni Association and Manipur University, bringing together academicians, researchers, educators and students to discuss contemporary developments in language pedagogy and action research.
College Principal Prof. L. Rajen attended the concluding programme as chief guest, while Head of the Department of English Dr Sobhana Laishram presided. Dr Tikaram Poudel, Head, Department of Language Education, Kathmandu University, Nepal; Dr John R. Baker of Ho Chi Minh University of Industry and Textiles, Vietnam; and Prof. Irom Gambhir, Member, UGV NE, NEP 2020 Implementation, attended as guests of honour.
Around 200 participants from within and outside the state presented papers through online and offline modes. Resource persons from different countries also participated in the academic sessions.
Dr John R. Baker and Prof Patricia Briscoe of Queen’s University, Canada, delivered key presentations during the seminar-cum-workshop.
The programme was convened by Dr Sobhana Laishram, Head and Associate Professor, Department of English, with Dr Neeruka Angom and Dr P.A. Steward, Assistant Professors in the department, serving as co-convenors.
