Teachers’ Day observed at SAIRAM, Langjing Achouba

The students of the South Asian Institute of Rural and Agricultural Management (SAIRAM), Langjing Achouba, organized a Teachers’ Day celebration at the college campus on October 10, 2025, to honour and express gratitude to their teachers for their dedication and commitment to students’ learning.
The programme was presided over by Prof. H. S. Shekhar Sharma, Director of SAIRAM. Prof. P. Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of MIU, attended as Chief Guest, while Prof. Ph. Ranjit Sharma, Director Extension of CAU, and Prof. L. Nabachandra Singh, Department of Agronomy, CAU, graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
During the event, the dignitaries interacted with the teachers and lauded their continued efforts in nurturing and mentoring students. Students paid heartfelt tributes through speeches, songs, and cultural performances dedicated to their mentors.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Gaithuingam Gangmei, an M.Sc. Horticulture student, who also announced that the “Freshers’ Meet 2025-26″ will be held on October 11 to welcome the new batch of B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. Agriculture students into the SAIRAM family.
