The Manipur state branch of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation India, under the banner of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, today organised the Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride 2025 at Enchanted Garden, Langjing Achouba, Imphal. The programme was organised as part of the 18-month long celebration commemorating the Centenary Year of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The day began early with Omkaram and Suprabhatam at Mantripukhri, followed by the commencement of the Prema Jyothi procession carrying the Unity Torch to the venue. From 5:30 am, participants and invitees gathered for warm-up sessions, group formations, and cultural renditions of state songs. The State President of the organisation delivered a keynote address, highlighting the spiritual and social significance of the event.
The Unity Torch was ceremonially handed over to special guests and dignitaries before the flagging-off ceremony. Riders from the FIT India Team and the SSSSOM group were flagged off by the Mayor of Imphal Municipal Corporation. This was followed by the flagging-off of runners for various categories, including 10 km (men and women), 5 km, and 3 km. A symbolic tree plantation drive, Prema Tharu, was also conducted.
By 9 am, participants returned to the venue for medallion presentations, cultural performances, and refreshment sessions. The programme concluded with Mahamangala Aarthi, marking a spiritually uplifting end to the day’s proceedings.
The event saw active participation from devotees, fitness enthusiasts, and volunteers, reflecting a blend of devotion, health, and community spirit in line with the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
