The Director of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, inaugurated a newly constructed Public Toilet Complex and Mess Hall at Security Barrack No. 2 of RIMS, Imphal, today in presence of Prof. N. Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Imphal. The event marked another milestone in enhancing infrastructure and amenities within the RIMS campus.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by R.K. Mecolt Singh, Deputy Director (Admn), S. Sarat Singh, CAO/FA, Kh. Ibopishak Singh, Executive Engineer (Civil),RIMS, Imphal along with faculty, staff, and security personnel. Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma highlighted the importance of hygiene, sanitation, and welfare facilities, commended the Engineering Division for timely project completion, and reaffirmed RIMS’ commitment to enhancing infrastructure for the campus community.
The newly built Public Toilet Complex is designed to cater to the needs of both staff and visitors, ensuring proper sanitation facilities are accessible at all times. The Mess Hall will serve as a centralized dining facility for the security personnel stationed at Barrack No. 2, offering hygienic and nutritious meals to support their well-being.
Meanwhile, The Official Language Cell, RIMS, Imphal, organized a Hindi Lecture-cum-Workshop today at Banting Hall, RIMS, Imphal to promote Hindi usage in official communication, aligning with the Government of India’s Official Language Policy. Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, graced the function as Chief Guest, Prof. N. Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, as President, and Dr. Chandam Ingo Singh, Assistant Professor, Manipur University, as Guest of Honour.
