MLA Rk Imo Singh today laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Young Pillars Union Club at Sagolband Meino Leirak. The club will be a G+1 structure, with the ground floor designated for Meira Paibi activities and the first floor serving as the club’s office.
Speaking at the ceremony, MLA Rk Imo highlighted various completed developmental projects in the constituency awaiting inauguration. He assured that these projects, including the double-storey Community Hall at Meino Leirak, will be officially handed over in March. He also mentioned the repair work underway at the Community Hall in Maisnam Nongthombam Leikai, as per residents’ requests.
Addressing water scarcity, he announced that two Water ATMs—one at Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai and another at Sagolband Meino Leirak—will soon be operational to ensure 24×7 access to clean drinking water.
Additionally, the MLA revealed that the Sagolband United Players Accommodation Building at Sagolband Tera will soon be inaugurated, with plans to add a second storey. He also confirmed that pending payouts under the PMAY-U scheme have been processed and will soon be credited through DBT.
Appealing for unity, Rk Imo urged residents to rise above political differences and support each other. He also reaffirmed the continuation of the “MLA Ana Layengi Tengbang” initiative, which provides financial aid to critically ill patients, regardless of political affiliation.
