Imphal, July 23:
The Bishnupur district committee of the Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) Manipur, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Government of Manipur, distributed 200 bags of fertilizers to farmers in Ningthoukhong Kha-Khunou. “This effort by FOCS is part of our ongoing commitment to foster a self-sustainable society,” stated Manihar, highlighting FOCS Manipur’s dedication to supporting local agriculture. The Agriculture Department has pledged continued cooperation for future fertilizer distributions, reflecting a collaborative approach to enhancing agricultural resilience in Manipur.
The event was attended by FOCS Vice-President B.M. Yaima and members of the FOCS Bishenpur District Committee, who actively participated in distributing the 200 bags of urea fertilizers to the farmers. This initiative is seen as a significant step in supporting the local farming community during these challenging times, ensuring that agricultural activities can continue despite the ongoing conflicts and logistical difficulties.
