Environmental activist Manikanta Mutum concluded his month-long environmental awareness campaign on Saturday by organising a poster campaign and cleanliness drive at India Gate in New Delhi.
According to Manikanta Mutum, the campaign began on June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day, with a series of environmental awareness programmes and tree plantation drives conducted in schools across various localities in Manipur.
As the concluding event of the campaign, he displayed posters at India Gate to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the growing problem of pollution in the national capital. The posters highlighted the need for collective action to protect the environment and reduce pollution.
Apart from the poster campaign, Manikanta also carried out a cleanliness drive by collecting discarded plastic bottles and other plastic waste scattered around the India Gate premises, appealing to visitors to maintain cleanliness and reduce plastic pollution.
He said environmental protection requires active public participation and urged citizens to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives to ensure a cleaner and healthier future.
