As part of the Good Governance Week campaign, observed nationwide from December 19 to 25 under the theme “Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore,” the District Administration Jiribam, under Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, organized a “District Level Workshop cum One-Day Grievance Redressal Camp” at the DC Office Complex, Jiribam, on Tuesday. The camp, held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., aimed to address public grievances and deliver government services on the spot.
In his inaugural address, DC Krishna Kumar highlighted that the camp was intended to ensure all sections of society could access benefits under various government schemes. He urged government servants to serve the public with empathy and instructed line departments to coordinate for timely resolution of issues.
The camp featured stalls from multiple departments, including the DC Office, Forest Division, ICDS, DCPU, Education, Health, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, SDAO, JMC, Weights & Measures, RD & PR, MSPDCL, PWD, PHE, and District Cooperative, providing on-the-spot assistance to the public.
Notable activities included the Forest Division distributing free seedlings, registering private plantations, and showcasing Van Dhan Vikash Yojana products. The Education Department addressed grievances of 17 students across three relief camps and provided free uniforms and textbooks to five students.
