DC Churachandpur flags off Road Safety Month Campaign

As part of observing the road safety awareness month 2025,Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur, Dharun Kumar S today flagged off ‘Road Safety Month 2025 Campaign-two-wheeler rally’ from Mini-Secretariat, Tuibong, Churachandpur. The event was organized by District administration, Churachandpur.
Prior to Flagging off the rally, Dharun Kumar highlighted the importance of Road Safety month 2025. Expressing that in Churachandpur district,unfortunately a lot of road accidentshappened frequently. He appealed to the civil society, general public and people of the district to step forward and support police force in exercise of traffic rules and safe driving practices to reduce and avoid accidents. He also urged people of the district to adhere road safety rules and come forward at village level, block level, sub-divisional level and district level to ensure the district remain one of the safest from accident.
He further said that underMinistry of Road and Transport,unique schemes in connection to hit-and-run accidents was already launched.As per the scheme ,any victims families can claim in form I and submit to the Claim Enquiry Officer(SDM/SDC) to investigate and submit enquiry report in form II to claims settlement Officer/DC within 1 month with necessary documents. The deceased’s families will receive an ex-gratia payment of Rs.2 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh to grievous injury. Cashless Treatment Scheme which was tied up withvarious hospitals to provide cashless to accident victims, will be provided,he added.
The two wheeler rally which started from Mini-Secretariat was led by Deputy Commissioner andSP Churachandpur, and alsojoined by ADCs and SDOs. The rally concluded at SDO Office, Churachandpur.
Officials from District administration,DLOs, police, IRB personnel, Eimi Riders and Royal Riders attended the event.
