Bishnupur, Feb 27:

District Administration Bishnupur and the Bishnupur District Olympic Association jointly felicitated the eight, 8 medal winners including 1 gold medalist from Bishnupur District who participated in the 38th National Games, 2025 held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025.
The felicitation ceremony held in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur celebrated the outstanding achievements of the athletes across various events in different categories.
The medallists felicitated wereH. Robinson Singh who secured gold in the 52 Kg category, Wushu; Th. Jodhajit Singh, silver in 85 kg category, Wushu; A. Sanayaima Singh, silver in 65 kg category, Wushu; O. Bidyapati Chanu, bronze in 56 kg category, Wushu; Haobijam Tendenthoi, bronze in W2x2000M, Rowing; Thangjam Priya Devi, bronze in W2x2000M, Rowing; Chinglemba Singh, bronze in 51 kg category Boxing and Lamabam Nilam Devi, bronze in 55kg category Weight Lifting.
The medal winners were presented with Lengyan, bouquet and cash by the Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur Lourembam Bikram and District Youth Affairs and Sports Officer, DYASO Bishnupur Yumkhiabm Ibeyaima Devi.
Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur Lourembam Bikram commended the achievements, noting that the felicitation is a step towards motivating the young talents. He praised the dedication of the athletes and the sports associations in the district for their contributions.
As a District Administrator, it is important to recognize the strengths of our district and work towards it. The district has an abundance of talented athletes who are ready to learn and grow. It is the responsibility of the District Administration to continue providing them with the support they need to reach their full potential, he added.
