45th District Level Students’ Science Seminar

The 45th Imphal East District Level Students’ Science Seminar 2025 was held today at the Conference Hall of ZEO Zone-II, Porompat, bringing together young scientific minds from Classes VIII to X of various government and private schools.
This year’s seminar was organised under the theme “The Quantum Age Begins: Potentials and Challenges,” encouraging students to explore the revolutionary scope of quantum technology while addressing its challenges. Participants presented their ideas using charts, working models, and multimedia, reflecting both knowledge and creativity.
The programme was graced by Sucheta Khumukcham, ZEO Zone-II, as Chief Guest, Kalpana Soram, DI of Schools, as President, and R.K. Bheigyachandra Singh, A.I. of Schools, as Guest of Honour. In her address, Sucheta Khumukcham lauded the dedication of students and teachers, stressing that such competitions shape future scientists. Sanjoy Naorem, DI of Schools and Science Supervisor, in his keynote, urged students to innovate and prepare for the quantum age.
After evaluation, Aniket Mishra of Sainik School, Imphal, won first place, followed by Ophelia Pebam of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, and Memota Keisham of Sainik School. Aniket Mishra will now represent Imphal East at the upcoming State Level Students’ Science Seminar.
