The All Manipur United Fish Farmers’ Association (AMUFFA), under the guidance of the All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO), in collaboration with the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Takyelpat, launched a 10-day fish farming training programme today at Kumbi Lai Sandong in Bishnupur district.
The programme is designed to provide participating fish farmers with modern techniques and scientific knowledge to boost fish production. Over the course of ten days, trainees will receive instruction on advanced fish rearing methods, firm establishment and management, water quality maintenance, and sustainable practices in aquaculture.
AMUFFA has urged both associations and individual fish farmers from across the state to make use of this opportunity.
The inaugural session was attended by Yumkhaibam Deban Singh, Director of RSETI, along with staff members of the institute. Also present were Mayengbam Bimolchand Luwang, President of AMUFFA; Dr. Norendro Thokchom, Vice President of AMUCO; and Th. Santikumar, Assistant Organisation Secretary of AMUCO.
A total of 35 fish farmers took part in the opening day of the training programme.
