ZSWC, Centre hold 10th round of political talks

The Zeliangrong Statehood Working Committee (ZSWC) and the Government of India held the 10th round of political talks in New Delhi on May 29, 2026, according to a statement issued by Louis Gangmei, Secretary of Information and Publicity, Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF).
During the meeting, the ZSWC, which is pursuing the political dialogue process with the initiative of the ZUF, welcomed Jim Lo, the newly appointed representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The statement said both sides reviewed the progress made in the ongoing negotiations and agreed to maintain the momentum of the dialogue process. It further stated that the parties discussed the formulation of a comprehensive draft settlement for the Zeliangrong political issue, with a definite roadmap aimed at facilitating a conclusive resolution.
According to the statement, the latest round of talks reflects the commitment of both the ZSWC and the Government of India to continue engagement towards finding an amicable and lasting solution to the issue.
