Workshop on toxicity held

Imphal, Sep 26: Two days workshop on ‘toxicity of medicinal plants’ was inaugurated today at New Hall, Modern College, Imphal which was jointly organised by Department of Chemistry, Modern College and Manipur University, Canchipur.

Prof. H. Nandakumar Sharma, Vice Chancelor, MU attended the function as Chief Guest said that the state receives various kinds of medicinal plants and most of them are being implemented. He added that most of the plants are poisonous so it is necessary to do numerous researches. Due to lack of physical exercises and increase in modern technologies various kinds of ailments have been formed. If we reduce the use of remote control activities and keep a habit of physical exercises we can prevent from numerous ailments, added Nandakumar.
