Imphal, June 9: A woman aged around 44 committed suicide by consuming poison yesterday around 7 pm at Leimapokpam under Bishnupur District.
The deceased woman has been identified as Leimapokpam Loidang Devi w/o Leimapokpam Pishak of Leimapokpam Khunfam Mayai Leikai.The dead body of Loidang was taken to RIMS mortuary for post mortem after which the dead body was handed over to family members. Reason for her suicide has not been ascertained yet.
