Reacting against the release of Lhukhosei Zou by the Special Court (ND&PS) today Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) in a statement urged the government to appeal the order to a higher court.
Contraband drugs (Heroin, WY Tablets) worth over rupees 27 crores were seized from the official quarter of the Chandel district ADC, Lhukhosei at Lamphel on June 29, 2018. The CADA said that people now suspect on how the main accused has been released after being acquitted.
The CADA also highlighted the series of events that took place in connection with the drug seizure case from the official quarter of Lukhosei Zou. It even said that the former additional SP of NAB, who took main role to the investigation of the case, has been transferred without any appropriate reason. The CADA also stated on how government had tried to close the case using its machineries by interfering the judiciary.
The way things are going on makes a mockery of the War on Drugs, CADA said while questioning on how could the drug seized from the residence of the person could be let free.
