The All club, organisation and Meira Paibi Lup (ACOAM-LUP) had criticised the attitude of some scholars and culture activists who knowingly walk to the wrong steps despite correcting it.
In a press statement, the organisation said that certain unfortunate incidents in the annuals of the erstwhile Kangleipak had jeopardise the culture and traditions of our indigenous people, but the tireless effort of our people still manage to maintain our rich cultural Heritage from time to time. However, today’s generation sometime confused while tracing back those unfortunate events. Sometimes, the inability to find the correct date of evens due to lack of thorough research leads the general public to the wrong direction. In order to avoid such misleading, the need of the hour is to undergo a thorough research to find the exact date of the events in order to present a documented history of our people to the world.
The ACOAM-LUP statement further added that culture activists or revivalist should not hesitate to correct the wrong instead of sticking to their stand, which they known is wrong.
