Village Defence Force (VDF) today staged a sit-in-protest at Keishampat Leimajam leikai Community Hall reiterating their demands for hike in their pay as well as demanding immediate released of the VDF personnel who were arrested in connection with the general strike called by the VDF body on April 15. VDF personnel Micheal of Kwakeithel and Chinglmba of Nambol Kha Jiri were arrested by the state police on the general strike day and detained at Sajiwa Jail.
