UPF to organize procession from Canchipur to Hao Ground commemorating Gambhir Singh

The United People’s Front (UPF), Manipur, is observing National Reconciliation Month. The program, which began in Chandrapur, Cachar, earlier this month, has seen a series of meetings and events organized across three districts of Assam and has now reached Manipur since January 2.
As part of the National Reconciliation Month, the UPF will organize a procession tomorrow, January 9, to commemorate the death anniversary of Maharaja Gambhir Singh. The event, which was previously observed as National Reconciliation Day, will include paying floral tributes at the statue of Maharaja Gambhir Singh in Canchipur. Following this, a procession will begin at Canchipur and conclude at Singjamei Chingamathak, Hao Ground.
According to Nongthombam Rupachandra, President of UPF, the UPF has been holding various public events, including public meetings, street gatherings, and camera meetings in Imphal since January 2.
The UPF has called for active cooperation and participation from the public. Simultaneous events are also planned at Chandrapur and Awa Palli in Cachar and Jiribam, reflecting the UPF’s ongoing commitment to promoting reconciliation and unity across the regions.
