United Peoples’ Front (UPF) today observed its 16th foundation day at Manipur Press club. UPF is a civil organisation based in Imphal which has been taking up various social causes. U Nobokishore, General Secretary of Centre for Social Development attended the observance as the chief guest while Md. Yaima Shah, president of UPF presided over it. Other dignitaries like Rose Mangsi Haokip, President of Kuki Women Union Manipur, W Shyamjai, President AMWJU and Y Nabachandra, President UCM were also attended in the function.Speaks on the occasion stressed on the need for implementation of Inner Line Permit system as the Indigenous people of the state are in the urge of extinction.
