UNLF Chairman greets on 30th Raising Day of MPA

Imphal, Feb 8: Military Affairs Committee (MAC) of the proscribed group United National Liberation Front, Manipur today greets the people of the region on occasion of the 30th Raising day of its armed wing Manipur Peoples’ Army (MPA).
In a statement by its chairman, Kh. Pambei, the committee said that while UNLF was born in 1964 with a mission to restore the sovereignty and Independence of the erstwhile kingdom and its armed wing MPA was established on February 9, 1987.
“30 years the MPA has been waging war against the colonial army in 200 battlefield”, said the statement. It added that likeminded rebel groups of the  WESEA region will jointly fight against the occupational army.
The statement further said that all the ethnic community of the region need to collectively decide and fight for the independent of the region. A freedom of one community will not do any good to the region.
On the other hand the MAC of UNLF said that the dependence of the people of the region to the Indian product need to be rethinking and should be stopped immediately if we want a complete freedom. The statement also indirectly slammed the crisis being faced by the people of the state and blamed the occupation of the region by the India government.
