Union Minister Niranjan Jyoti assures Mega Food Park in Imphal

Imphal, Sept 24: Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Sadvi Niranjan Jyoti today assured to establish a Mega Food Park here at Imphal. The Union Minister who arrived in the state on a one day visit added that the Mega Food Park aims to provide better opportunity to the farmers of the state.
“The Mega Food Park, besides solving the problem of the farmers will also provide employment opportunity to the unemployed youth of the state”, Niranjan Jyoti added.
Talking to reporters at BJP Manipur Pradesh Office at Nityapat Chuthek, the Union Minister said that the central government has no financial problems to start any beneficiary project that will provide job opportunity to the unemployed youth of the state. She further added that the Narendra Modi led government at the center has recently launched the MURDA Bank to provide loans to the unemployed youths besides empowering the women of the state.
The Union Minister said that under the Murda bank, there are schemes under three category, in the first category each individuals will be provided a loan ranging from Rs. 5 thousand to Rs. 10 thousand, in the second category each individuals will be provided loans from Rs. 10 thousand to one lakh and in the  third category each individuals will be provided loans from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh. The loans will not required to produce any guarantor or need to mortgage their properties but will need to produce the detail report of what he or she would like to take up.
“For this scheme cards will be distributed during September 25 to October 2” , Niranjan Jyoti added.
 Regarding the food industries in the state the Union Minister said that at present Manipur is entitled to establish 26 units of food processing center but right at the moment the state has only two functioning centers – one for drinking water and the other for Atta Beson.
Later, after speaking with the state government officials the union minister leaves for New Delhi in an Air India flight at 3 pm.
