United Committee Manipur (UCM) today said that there seems to be a hidden agenda to the peace accord signed between the Government of India and the NSCN-IM. Speaking to media persons at its Head Office at Lamphel, President of the Committee Johnson Elangbam said that the committee will not remained quite if the content of the peace accord affect the integrity of Manipur. Johnson however, welcomes the solution to the vex issue of NSCN-IM if it confined to the state of Nagaland only.
He further said that there is still need to worry as the content of the peace accord has not be let known to the people.
The UCM President also urged the state government to find out the content of the peace accord and urged them to take the matter to the parliament as the sitting is going on.
“Let the Home Minister or the Prime Minister gives details of what has been agreed between the government of India and NSCN-IM at the floor of the parliament”, said Johnson Elangbam.
The UCM president further warned of serious consequences if the peace accord affect the integrity of the state of Manipur.
